Tatanka Spirit Flutes are hand carved in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Wood used in the carving of the flutes are:

Loren carves the flutes in his small woodshop and his wife, Gloria, electronically precision tunes the flutes. Gloria, with her vast experience in the field of music, writes small books in flute music, holds flute workshops, and performs for concerts using Tatanka Spirit Flutes.
Since the flutes are handcarved, the sale of any flutes are by appointment, at the Annual Buffalo Round Up Arts Festival in Custer State Park, South Dakota each September and The Journey Museum of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Included with the purchase of a flute is a Fleece Bag and basic book of instruction.
